Early Childhood #6 – Child Malnutrition and Its Consequences in Adulthood – Maria P. Albuquerque

Synopsis:

The lecture “Child Malnutrition and Its Consequences in Adulthood” took place on September 22, 2022, as part of the Healthy Eating and Early Childhood Care Project by the Center for Research on Obesity and Comorbidities – CEPID OCRC.

Maria Paula de Albuquerque is a pediatrician with a degree and residency from the Escola Paulista de Medicina, specializing in Pediatric Nutrition through SBP and ABRAN. She holds a Ph.D. in Sciences from the Department of Clinical Endocrinology at UNIFESP and is an assistant physician at the Department of Physiology – UNIFESP. She serves as the Deputy Coordinator of the Nutrition and Poverty Research Group at the Institute for Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (USP).

Currently, she is the General Clinical Manager at CREN – Center for Recovery and Nutritional Education and represents civil society in the Health and Well-being Thematic Chamber of the Municipal ODS Commission (2020–2022 / 2022–2024) of São Paulo. Additionally, she is a member of the CRSAN – Capital – CONSEA (2020–2022).
