In the Gaps of Everyday Life: Building Reflections on Professional Practices and Knowledge from the Food of the Territory

Synopsis:

This article discusses a Permanent Health Education (EPS) experience focusing on the food from the outskirts of São Paulo. It highlights the actions of the Cultivating Horizons Project (PCH) by the Center for Recovery and Nutritional Education (CREN), an initiative launched in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project aimed to strengthen the short food production-marketing chain to support health and nutrition care for families with children and/or adolescents facing malnutrition, who are attended by CREN.
