The World Summit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WSIE) eyes aim the future. On the first day of the 10th edition of the Innovation Summit that brings together businessmen and leaders in Technology, Arts, Third Sector and Society, the general manager of CREN, Gisela Solymos, lived unique experiences, all focused on a more prosperous and sustainable humanity.
At the opening of the Innovation Summit, the President of WSIE, Sam Hamdan, shared his personal story during the war in Lebanon to approach the social development.
With a photo exhibition of poetic and harmonious interaction among humans and animals, called Ashes and Snow, the Canadian artist Gregory Colbert has provided moments of reflection about our respect with Earth.
Among various speeches, Mosaraf Ali, director at Integrated Medical Centre, drew attention reporting the changes in healthcare, that focus on traditional technologies to develop new methods treatment. One of the concerns that came was with “non-communicable diseases (such as heart, lung, cancer and diabetes) and the importance of nutrition to prevent the breakdown of the public health system”, according to CREN´s general manager, Gisela Solymos.
Synchronized with CREN values, the speech of Greek George Logothetis, executive director of Libra Group, dealt with the power of belief for innovation and human progress. He reported a Chinese belief that the best way to start a journey of a thousand miles is by taking the first step. “The first step is not physical, it is a belief. In other words, the way to start any journey is believing that it is possible. It is a philosophy very similar to the work of the CREN, in which we recover the families dignity, believing that happiness is possible,“ said Gisela Solymos.
